Dr. Gian Pietro Schincaglia is an assistant clinical professor and director of the Postgraduate Program in Periodontology at the UConn School of Dental Medicine. He received a dental degree from the University of Ferrara (Italy) and a Periodontal Certificate from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles). Since 2003, he has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and in 2006, he received a Ph.D. in biology from the University of Ferrara. Dr. Schincaglia has extensive experience in implant dentistry and periodontal surgery. Dr Schincaglia‘s dental research interest is focused on enhancing bone regeneration around teeth and dental implants and bone biology.
